Board of Directors
The Flemish Institute for Logistics (VIL) is a non-profit making organisation with full, associate and supporting members. The VIL has a Board of Directors which guarantees that the institute actually focuses on the real problems for which the sector requires short or long term solutions.
In implementing the VIL Business Plan, which was approved by the Flemish Government on 15th May 2009, the institute’s statutes were changed in order to make shippers full members with a right to vote as they were previously not entitled to do so.
The new composition of the Board of Directors comprises 5 logistics service providers, 4 shippers and 3 representatives appointed by the government. Observers include the Enterprise Agency, Flanders Investment & Trade, The agency for innovation by Science and Technology and the Flemish Ministry of Mobility and Public Works.
